Meinhardt Group International, a leading global engineering, planning and management consultancy firm owned and headquartered in Singapore, has today announced the acquisition of LBW Consultants LLP, a leading local provider of Civil, Structural and Project Management services.
The acquisition is in line with Meinhardt’s long term strategic goal to cement itself as the largest global multi-disciplinary engineering & PM consultancy in Singapore. This further consolidates the Group’s position in the local consulting market and will complement its large pool of talented industry leaders and staff with a proven track record of delivering successful solutions both regionally and internationally.
Expressing his exuberance on the eve of this acquisition, the newly-appointed Group CEO, Omar Shahzad said, “We are delighted to be partnering with LBW Consultants which will further strengthen our lead position in the construction industry and reinforce our reputation as the cutting edge engineering design firm in Singapore and the region.”
Led by Er. Dr Lee Bee Wah, LBW Consultants LLP offers vast combined working experience on a wide variety of projects ranging from design, construction supervision and project management of industrial parks, resorts including golf courses, residential, commercial, industrial developments, schools, water and environmental engineering projects.
Dr Lee, who is also a Member of Parliament for Nee Soon GRC, explained, “I chose the merger with Meinhardt over other attractive options due to Meinhardt’s global footprint especially in ASEAN and the Asia-Pacific region, its Singaporean ownership and an unmatched track record in providing multidisciplinary services for numerous high-rise buildings and infrastructure projects – both in Singapore and the region. “The Group can leverage on LBW’s local track record along with Meinhardt’s global presence and strong technical back up to service the Singapore clients and projects even better. The acquisition will also allow me an opportunity to spend more time in my constituency and look to the needs of my residents,” she added.
Some of Meinhardt’s landmark projects include the OUB Centre (Singapore’s tallest building), the upcoming Tanjong Pagar Mixed Use Development (Singapore’s tallest building to-be), the Marina Bay Financial Centre, the iconic The Sail @ Marina Bay, One Raffles Link comprising Singapore’s largest and 1st subterranean mall, Bugis Junction, traffic interchanges, MRT and water & wastewater projects.
We want to maintain our reputation as the best bet for designing complex engineering projects, especially high-rise buildings and long span structures. We deliver cost effective, smartly sequenced buildable solutions which are highly innovative and sometimes ground-breaking
